Answer / nishad
for the protection of generator we useing
1, under voltage/ overvoltage Relay
2Under/over frequency,
3, Reverse power relay,
4, Earth fault Relay
5, Differential Protection relay
6, over load protection
8, resticted earth fault relay ***(optional)
9,RTD's for bearing & winding >> protect from over heat
10,if it contain in clossed container provide differential
pressure relay,
These are the normal protection from Electrical side.

Is any generator is developed which is operated with out diesal or other expensive source?
Sir We have a REF relay connected to 10MVA(Y-Y) Transformer.on External earth fault REF relay trips along with earth fault relay. The REF relay has no complant as we tested relay. Why is it happening?
the inertia constants of two machines are respectively 30and 42 MJ per MVA.when the change in frequency due to change in load in first machine is 12 Hz,the change in second machine frequency will be?
why two windings are using in single phase AC motor
Dear sir, we are getting voltage fluctuations suddenly for 2 or 3 minutes again it becomes normal. we checked each and every connection some times we are getting 110 volts like that from earth to neutral again it is reducing we are getting supply from 45 kva DG set give earthing properly.
why we have to do tan delta test of the transformer oil???
oil cooled transformer
