Exciter winding- It is a field winding in the rotor of
alternator.
Stator winding- It is a winding in a stationary part of the
alternator.
AVR- Automatic Voltage Regulator. To control the speed of
the rotor by regulating the exciter.

ho can we calculate the conductor insulation value according to their ratings like voltage,current etc.how insulation value related with voltage,current and power of amachine
