Why will a solution of aspirin without acid or basic
hydrolysis give yellow colour with a solution of Ferric
chloride?
Answer / mrs.tatineni
Aspirin when dissolved in water with the help of heat will
be hydrolysed partially into salicylic acid and acetic
acid. Since salicylic acid consists of a phenolic group it
