I am planning to do my higher studies in Fall 2010. I am
getting married in June 2010 and I want to do my higher
studies in F1 visa. My queries are as follows:
Is it true that we cannot pursue higher studies in H4 visa
for atleast an year?
In what way does the marital status affect my chances of
getting F1 visa?
If I am rejected F1 visa, can I re-apply for H4 visa, and if
so, is there a minimun time gap that should be given before
reapplying for H4 visa?

I wish to do my graduate studies in one of the us universities in the field of computer science starting Fall 2010 and am waiting admission information from 1-2 univs. Two years back, I had attempted for H1-B visa which was put on hold. Subsequently since I got a good job in India, I did not pursue H1-B visa. Now I wish to continue with my studies after getting some job experience. My problem What shoudl I write in the DS-160 column asking: Whether you had applied for US visa earlier, if so what is the result. Whether I should write: applied for H1-B visa but put on hold or applied for H1-B visa, denied. Whether this will come in the way of my securing F-1 visa now? why do u have these many backlogs(about 50 )
hi all i had backlogs in my engineering i completed my 4rth year in 2006 but had to wait till 2007 Dec to clear 3 backlogs now i m planning to give my visa interview in march as i got admit from national university California in my memo as i m a grad from jntu Hyderabad it says i finished my eng in dec 2007 so when the visa officer sees my eng certificates she will ask me what were u doing all these days if she realizes that i should have completed my eng in 2006 then what should i answer and also i worked only for 6 months meanwhile
