1.If there is no hp/lp bypass when the turbine is tripped and still boiler will be in service all the generated steam has to to evacuated by opening SH/RH vents.In presence of bypass system even when turbine is tripped we can possible to bypass the steam and dump it into condenser.
2.the major advantage of doing the above is we can maintain the boiler in hot condition with minimum steam generation cold start up and preservation after shutdown is quite difficult.

.What do you mean by Turbine Dump.

They are mainly used for two purposes 1-when turbine gets tripped msg stop valves and reheated stop valves will be closed in order to evacuate the steam from hp turbine it is used to dump into the condenser.
2-when turbine is being rolled these lines are used to maintain or increase steam parameters such as temperature and also it will allow a Drain condensate to condenser. It is taken from crh line to the condenser after unit synchronised it will close in auto those dump lines will be provided with spray valves.

1.the only difference between them is ejector uses auxiliary
steam to remove the air from the condenser and the pump uses
water to remove the air by rotating the impellor that causes
suction of air from condenser.
