1.If there is no hp/lp bypass when the turbine is tripped and still boiler will be in service all the generated steam has to to evacuated by opening SH/RH vents.In presence of bypass system even when turbine is tripped we can possible to bypass the steam and dump it into condenser.
2.the major advantage of doing the above is we can maintain the boiler in hot condition with minimum steam generation cold start up and preservation after shutdown is quite difficult.

To achieve rolling parameters we are using HP/LP Bypass system and in case of turbine tripped we evacuate residual steam.
