rootdg is the default disk group created when VxVM software
is installed.

When we are installing the Veritas Volume Manager by
default rootdg will be created.While installing we must add
the root file system under this veritas control.Then only
after rebooting root will boot from this veritas.

# vxdg -g rootdg adddisk newroot=c2t2d0
How to mirror a rootdg
Initialize a new disk
#devfsadm
#format ( to label the disk)
#vxdctl –enable
#vxdisksetup –I diskname (c0t1d0s2)
#vxdg –g rootdg adddisk rootnew=c0t1d0s2
#vxprint list
#vxrootmir rootnew
