Cut off ratio is defined as the ratio of the volume before
the fuel is injected and the volume after the fuel is
injected and burned.
Cut off ratio is the product of expansion ratio and
compression ratio.

It can also be define as the ratio of temperature after heat addition pressure to the temperature before heat addition at constant pressue.
