An AVR stands for automatic voltage regulator,it is used to

constant by regulating the d.c excitation fed to the
generator.It regulates the output of pilot excitor which is
D.C.

What is the minimum load that you can keep in a 3 Phase 40 KVA Diesel Generator? Is it neccessary to load all the 3 phases? Can a phase be left without load?
