Ground or earth in a mains (AC power) electrical wiring
system is a conductor that provides a low impedance path to
the earth to prevent hazardous voltages from appearing on
equipment (the terms "ground" (North American practice)
and "earth" (most other English-speaking countries) are
used synonymously here). Normally a grounding conductor
does not carry current. Neutral is a circuit conductor that
may carry current in normal operation, and which is usually
connected to earth.

why are laminations used in constructing the field core?
Why one can experience electrical Shock due to Voltage or Current?? or both voltage or current??
we can stepdown the voltage from 230/12v ,and we use the voltage for various electronics components why can't we step up the voltage from 12/230v if we can shall we use the voltage for domestic single phase supply
how brushless dc motor is operating ?
why chock were used in old tubelights but are not newest tubelights?
I have made a 3 phase thyristor full bridge rectifier. But at the moment it is working only for the half bridge operation. Both the half bridges are on operation separately but when i put it into full bridge operation the oscilloscope output is zero. I rechecked that the pulses are correct for each thyristor. what could be the possible reason for this?
