the formulla is
costprice + profit/loss = selling price
let costprice=x
x + sellingpriceof 4 ballpen = selling priceof 12
x = selling priceof 12-sellingpriceof 4 ballpen
x=selling priceof 8
ans= 4 is 50% percent of 8
