I want to know in detail about SHRINKAGE & Atteration, the two terms mainly used in call center..

Answer / maesh kumar n

Shrinkage are of two types first type is unscheduled
shrinkage and ohter one is scheduled shrinkage. Unscheduled
shrinkage can be identified as Unscheduled Leaves or
Absenteesim (Ex: Due to health issues or will issues an
employee goes on a leave without informing or taking prior
permission) and Scheduled Shrinkage includes Week offs and
Advance Leaves. Scheduled Shrinkage can be controlled and
can have an eagle eye so that it will not affect the
manpower. whereas unschedule shrinkage is vice versa.
ATTRITION is terminating or sacking depending on the
circumstances (Ex: An employee has not turned up to office
for many days and there is no call back from that
particular employee. In simple terms absconding or also it
could the behavioural conduct which is not as per the
companies rules and regulations, in this case also an
employee can be terminated or attrited.
