Q) Susan wants to put up fencing around three sides of her
rectangular yard and leave a side of 20 feet unfenced. If

Explanation :-
Rectangle has 4 sides with opposite sides equal in length. Let these be a,b
Now, we are given area as 680
ie. a*b=680
If a=20, then b=34
Now fencing is to be done on 3 sides leaving one a side i.e 2b+a
2*34+20 =88

=2*38 + 20
=88;

breadth=20
area given=680
length=area/breadth=680/20=34
so when 20 ft.side is to be left only two length side and 1 breadth is to be fenced so
