Current means rate of flow of charge i.e electrons..
Electrons have negative charge, so the current
due to them also negative in thier direction of flow..
Usually we consider the positive values.. positive current
means in the opposite direction to electron current,
becuase if current in one direction is positive then
current in the opposite direction would be of opposite
sign..

Answer / soumya
The diraction of flow of current is opposite to that of
flow of electrons.
This is because current=rate of flow of charge.
Due to potential difference flow of charge occures .As the
charge of electron is negative it is asumed that the
diraction of current is opposite to the diraction of flow
of diration.
