the machine whose rotor's speed is equal to the speed of
rotation of stator's magnetic field, is called a synch.
motor,,,thus corresponding is the speed.

Nr=Ns(1-s)
Nr=speed of rotor
Ns=synchronous speed
s=slip
in synchronous motor s=0.

will stop, if it reaches synchronous speed.
