Yes. you can write departmental exam. which is conducted by
the Directorate of Income tax (Exam., New Delhi. First, you
should pass Ministerial exam. Thereafter, you can write
Inspector of Income tax (ITI) exam. Thereafter, you can
write Income tax Officer (ITO) exam. There are only three
types of departmental exam. exist. You will get your
promotion as Senior Tax Assistant then ITI then as ITO.
Every promotion will be considered by the concerned Region
Chief Commissioner of Income Tax and finalize by
Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC). All the best.

You may write your office's qualifying exams. but you
CANNOT write deptl. exams. conducted by the ssc and the
upsc.
Your subordinates in the Deptt./Ministries of the GOI are
few, it can be Daftry and Constable/Airman/Seaman etc.
even the LDCs are not your subordinate because LDCs are
becoming Assistant Grade after 2 promotions and they have a
better chance of promotion than the Tax Assistant as they
have UD Grade Exam.,conducted by the SSC. But, Tax
Assistant, after two promotions became Tax Inspector which
is lower in hierarchy to Assistant Grade.
Immediate Superiors of the Tax Assistants are Stenographer
Grade 'D' and UDCs

Theres not deptl exm or tax assistant but if you are LDC in
AFHQ/CSCS you can appear for UD Dept. exam, SSC. So better
change your line if you want to go up through deptt. exams.
because after passing UDC you'll be Assistant on promotion
and finally you can appear for SO Exam conducted by the
UPSC which will make you a big officer. I can say you can
be 2nd IAS officer.

I Have selected as a LDC in SAFDARJANG HOSPITAL through SSC BOARD as a central Govt. employee. but there is no any departmental exam in this hospital there is only 10year ACP. SO can I give any departmental exam of upper grade like UDC, Assistant post . And what is the benefit for me after joining central govt. job except age relaxation.
I am selected as TA(CBDT) in Gujarat,appeared Exam from SSC ER (CGL-2011).Now SSC WR publish a list of nomination list in which against my name it is showing that Dossier not received from SSC ER.I contacted SSC ER regarding dispatching of my Dossier,they confirmed that it has been dispatched long back,they have also shown me the file copy.Now SSC WR is not responding any of my queries either by mail or by post because other than mailing I posted my query by post also.In this context I would like to know that what shall I do, as it is a matter of worry,moreover will there be any type of compensation for the delay by SSC as the candidates who took Exams with me have already got appointment letter whereas I have not received,by such I am devoid of my monthly salary as well as I am losing my seniority also.Is it a regular affair.I am very much worried.Plz help
