A neutral point is a junction of Three phases in Star
distribution circuit. this neutral should be earthed to
maintain high potential difference between neutral and
phase. when ever there is an unbalanced load distribution in
three phase circuit a emf will flow from one phase to
another phase through this neutral point. due to this
voltage in neutral the the Potential dofference between
phase to neutral gets reduced. so to maintain 0 voltage at
neutral point, neutral has to be earthed to the earth pit.

neutral is the return path iof current , 3 phase neutral is
taken from junction point (star connection) its like
closing circuit for the load in earth is connected toneutral
in case fault is occur its go through the earth. fix the
earth bit rod in the ground connect to neutral

neutral is reference from where phase voltage is
measured also it serve the purpose of return path
in three phase.it is possible in Y connection .in
delta it is virtual.while earth is always at O
potential.
it is used reduce the shock hazards in equipment.
earthing is done by connecting the equipment with earth using conductor.
there is no as such method.
there is 3 methods of neutral grounding(not earthing)
1.solidly ground
2.RNS
3.INS
