which is effective parallel or serial communication?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
There is a trade off in serial and parallel communicaton.
Parallel communication is faster than serial communication
but it requies lot of hardware. Parallel communication is
less used than serial which requires less hardware and easy
to implemen.

Serial Communication no matter is high speed ex if u want to
transmit 8 bits of data serially it requires 8 clock cycles
and receiver has to wait 8 clock cycles to process the data.
So processing data will be slow.Less hardware is req.
Where as in parallel transmission all 8 bits are available
in single clock cycle so processing time is fast.More
Hardware is req to implement
The conclusion lies on transmission and processing time you
have to choose according to the application

The serial communication is effective then the parallel,
because serial used for long distance. if we use parallel
commu for long distance means i) the cost is increasse ii)
capacitance also increase, because of it data lose will
occour.

In series communication, the communication system are
connected in series , so that the data is communicated
series so it is very slow, but parallel communication
system are connected parallely so that it is easily
communicated.

Its depends the place where u r using it....
Serial comm is slow but reliable and parallel is fast but we
cant use for long distance due to data lost

Answer / chandrashekar.a,karthik and so
In serial and parallel comunication, serial comunication is
most useful and helpful because of in serial communication
the transmission speed high.
