There might be some hardware issue, Go to the editor mode
or sc and do a break or port break respectively....the
server should come to ok prompt..check for errors in the
logs..ie; showlogs at sc if you find any error report it to
sun eng..or run diagnostic and find the fault hardware and
replace it...(usually the issue would be with one of the
cpu/dimm or the system board)

processor cooling fan is not working properly some times
the cooling fan is not running properly so by that time
whatever the heat generated from the processor is not going
out of the cpu,so more heat generated and it is strucks in
inside the cabinet, finally what iam telling is pls replace

Hi I wanted to know what command can I use to perform a rescan in Solaris10 u4/u5 64 bit machine. I know once the disks are added we can perform a rescan using the following commands drvconfig-->disks--> cfgadm OR devfsadm But they will detect the disks and once the disks are remove the entries are still shown unless the disks are removed. So is there another command or a script that could help me find that disks were removed from my solaris machine.
