CDMA (CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS) IS A CHANNEL SYSTEM
USED FOR VARIOUS RADIO TECHNOLOGIES.

CDMA mean CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS.
This is system in which edge is divided based on code not
on frequency. Where as in GSM it was divided based on
frequency.

Because of the above reason in CDMA it may be possible that
two users are having same frequncy even though they are in
same area.

this technology emphasis on codes rather than frequency
infact it uses freq more efficiently than gsm
two user may have same frequency but codes that they would
be generating would be different hence their respective
reciever will identify those codes and comm. will be set up.
