Why should we run "Replicate seed data" program??

If we runs replicate seed data program all the seeded
information will be reported to new operating unit. seeded
information means default information in oracle
applications.

In Multi org environment you need to do various setups so
that different modules or applications can intract with
each other with any problem for new defined OU and its
responsiblities.
When you run the replicate seed data you basically do the
setups for your newly defined ou
Some of the setups done by replicate seed data is
Ap Tolerences, AP Fles Segment mapping,
Receivables option ie AR_SYSTEM_PARAMETERS_ALL
and po document types etc...
One should make sure that your templates are inserted in
base tables else replicate seed data wont work.
now how to check templates are installed . Check the setup
tables with org ids mentioned below points
1. Templates for partitioned seed data have a source org_id
of -3113.
2. Templates for shared seed data have a source org_id of -
3114.

After defining the responsibilities and defining the
profile options for each responsibility .We must run the
Relplicate seed data program from the system admn
resposibility.Before assigning the resposibilities to the
users.
This is a operating unit specific program and while setting
up a new operating unit we need to run it.It provides the
new operating unit with basic seeded data for operating the
same.If the program is not run the new operating unit may
not have the default information.When the said program is
run there must be no users using the system.

For running operating unit it needs so much information and
it will use some existing tables also for that we have to
run several reports instreat of running all these reports
you can run " Replicate seeded data " program from the
system adminstrator responsibility.It will ask operating
unit name just attach new operating unit name and run this
report
