Answer / vinay gupta
A consumer may suffer from low voltage because of one or
more following reasons:
1.Due to power generation at low voltage at generating end.
2.Due to low power factor, bcoz of which more current to be
carried out for meeting the same load and hence line losses
increases which is responsible for the low voltage.
3.Due to over load.
4.The voltage drop across the conductor or cables is the
major cause of low voltage.

The low voltage mostly in the peak hours why because that
time more number of consumers are using the power. So the
voltage will get reduced on the distribution line.

its because of lagging power factor due to inductive load
e.g mixer grienders, motors, transformers. which dont have
capacitors to supress lagging current.

during power transmission at the grid there is low voltage
and high currents and when it passes through different
substations it step downs and at that time there is high
voltage and when it comes to house hold purposes there is
low voltage in this ohms law does not work

The technical malfunctions and reason are many here are few
1. One possible cause should be main conductor load phsae
are over loader or cabe to consumer not the recommended
size.
2. In properely load balancing to pahses
3. Faults AVR output
4. loose conductor from main breaker box to consumer

When the customer at load end is very long from the source. Due to voltage drop the customer located at very long will fall low voltage. Hence, the Electricity Board will install the service transformer at regular interval.

what is meant by insulation voltage in cables? explain it?
I need to compare the energy consumption of an industrial machine before and after improving. Shall I compare the apparent power or the active power? I know usually factories use compensated capacitors (or other similar components) to compensate the reactive power, so if I use the apparent power, it's not the real power consumed.
If we increases the %impedance of Transformer then price of Transformer will increases or decreases.
