Only way to find out whether defect report is correct or
not is review process.
Get it review form senior guy from the project.
Also make sure that you provide exact detailed step for
reproduction of bug /defect along with screenshots,
debugger stak file and if possible AVI file using screen
recording utility.

To force the tester to make a screen shot for all the bugs
he found.I think, this is write way to check.

If the report is prepared manually from the defects raised
then there is a possibility of error in the report. The
best way to pull the defect report. For this try to follow
the test management tool like Test director or tracking
tools like bugzilla to log the defects.
Once after pulling the report do a review by having check
points.
This will ensure the report with high accuracy
