Adhoc report is nothing but an user friendly report. The
end user can create thier own report like drag and drop the
objects what they wants in report based on the business
perspective.

Adhoc reports are reports created on fly...it can be
created by Business Users or/and by developers aswell...as
those would be simple and easy reports so in most of the
cases Business Users can create by themselves..
No much calculations or programming is needed to create
those...
