Thin Client is a browser based version, whereas thick
client is a desktop based version. In thick client, you
have lot of functions and formating options.

Thin client we can also called as Web Intelligese where as
thick client also called as desktop intelligese.The main
diff b/w thin & thick client,in webI,wecan create reports
using only universe but using DeskI we can create reports
by using data providers are XML data provider,VB
application,universe,storedprocedure,databae,sap r/3 etc

I agree with the above answers,the below answer will give
strength.

Thin Client is a web based.
Thick client is a Software based.

Thin client,there is no need of software to be installed in
the pc to create a report.(eg:WebI,CMC)
Thick client:The software to be installed in the pc in
order to create/view the report(eg:DeskI,supervisor,import
wizard ect)

Thin client come under cloud based technology.
eg:gmail(whenever we want to read/view the attachement in
the inbox there is no need of installing corresponding s/w
inorder to see the data,it already installed in server.)

where as thick client is normal offline user's desktop. In
some scenarios database will maintained by himself,but
inorder to get the he needs to install addional s/w.

The main Reason for Thin client and Desktop.

1.Thin client is not affected to a Antivirus there is no
need to software installed...but compare to desktop
Antivirus software installed otherwise virus Affected to
Desktop.

2.Thinclient have flash memory available but desktop not
available in flash memory
