when 20% of a number is added to another number the number increases by 50%.what is the ratio of t..

Answer / priya

let 1st no is x and 2nd is y

(20/100)*x + y = (50/100)*x+x

y = (50/100)*x + x - (20/100)*x

y = (30/100)*x +x
y = x ( 30/100 + 1)
y/x = (130/100)
y/x = 13/10

so ans is x : y = 10 : 13
