I want Primary side delta and Sec side Star connection transformer . but i have received Star - St..

Answer / ram niveth

offcourse we can use it if we didnt consider the clock
position ie, phase displacement in primary side.
but the condition is Neutral should not be earthed in
primary side .secondary neutral must be earthed

I want Primary side delta and Sec side Star connection transformer . but i have received Star - St..

Answer / vinod

Main reason to use Delta in primary side is to reduce/Eliminate harmonics in primary side whereas star winding will not eliminate.

I want Primary side delta and Sec side Star connection transformer . but i have received Star - St..

Answer / ssnslm

we can use the tr. in delta/star by disconnecting the
primary side winding teminals of each phase and reconnect
in delta in the primary side.

I want Primary side delta and Sec side Star connection transformer . but i have received Star - St..

Answer / karthikeyan

definetly you should reconfigure your primary winding of
the Y/Y to D/Y as per requirement. or else you have to
brought out the neutral point of primary starwinding of the
now existing Y/Y transformer.Hence you can avoid unbalance
3 pashe current by availing neutral star point which will
balance the system. and one morer thing is that you should
earth the star point of the primary winding.

I want Primary side delta and Sec side Star connection transformer . but i have received Star - St..

Answer / dolphinopera

in transformers the
starting and finishing
end of the phase
windings are brought
out. hence you can
connect the windings
either in star or in
delta. another
important thing, if the
star winding is used
without neutral there
is a possiblity of
damage of winding.

A group of machines (wind turbines) connected with 33KV feeder and each machines are having individual VCB. The 33KV feeder connected with 110KV/33KV substation. The 33KV feeder tripped by over current at Substation and fault recorded at Substation as OC-R&Y phase. Same time the group of machines VCB tripped by over voltage, the fault recorded voltage was above 66KV by numerical Under/Over voltage relay. While grid drop time, this much of voltage hike is possible?
