An erp product can be tested manually as well as AUTOMTED.
DATA DRIVEN framework can be used.QTP , PERFORMANCE testing
using LOAD RUNNER.

An ERP product consists of different modules.
For ex. if we talk of SAP it consists of MM(Material Mgt.),
FI(Finance),CO(Controlling),SD(Sales & Distribution)etc.
So to test any module you should expertise in any
particular module.You should have good knowledge of that
module,then it will be easy for you to do functional
testing of that module.
Mostly ERP products are tested manulally,but sometimes for
regression testing automated tools are used which can be
QTP,Loadrunner etc.

How to do test if we have minimal or no documentation about the product?
Suppose " You are given a build with 5 modules to test as per the Customer request after finalization of SRS, But the SRS contains only documentation about 4 modules. On what basis you will continue the testing of 5th module." ?

I have one doubt in regression testing, Example if we have five modules such as 1,2,3,4,5. If we made change in 3 module only and also 3 module will interact with only 1 and 5 module. For this case we will conduct testing in all module (or) only 1 and 5 module?? Answer soon firends
