change its IP address.why? Must the MAC address also change?

Any host in the network is identified using two address
schemes.1.global address(I.P address) 2.local address(MAC
address)..MAC address need not be changed necessarily when
one moves from one subnet to aother..MAC address is used
within a prticular network and is provided by the router to
identify a particular host inside its territory.even though
the I.P address changes,its is now the responsibility of the
router to allot a new MAC address to the host or continue
with old one...
