all the best to all those appeared. last year
cutoff was "66" marks(im sure).n i dont think it exceeds 75
marks in any case, bcoz he picks 50% marks, not beyond
that .
mostly it will be around 65-75 marks.

In my and my collegues who appred for the Group-1 prelims
exam held on 20.04.2008 will be revered if the cut off mark
is 60.and must not execeed 62.
The very reason is that only objective pattern of
selection is having its own impediments. This is not only
the standareds to set the student knowlwdge and his wisdom.
if the cutoff mark will set to 60 we can easily know the
student performence in the main exam and in the interveiw
we can easily assess the ABILITY ofstudent only with written
(conventional type) and in interview much than prelims.

group I mains exam.

Hi friends first of all the best to those Group-I aspirants.
if we come to cut-off mark for the Group-I will be depends
on the persons appeared for the exam.
like if we see last day exam most of the persons are not
appeared for this. well at the same time Prelims is not the
only exam to filter all the talent fellows, its a bench
mark. so certainly it will be reachable to above average
persons, like those who can score 65+(some times 60+ also)
they can be ready for mains. because if we see past, there
is decrease of cut-off mark to give oppertunity to those
talent persons who missed the oppertunity.
so it will be 62-65.

I too heard its around 85 ! hope it shouldn't be.
As far as land of thousand lakes is concerned its Canada.
Since, he asked for the place LAND OF THOUSAND LAKES is in,
its ontario in canada .as a whole its finland which itself
known as land of thousand lakes.And about Ghatikas, god
knows !! in fact, all the 3 answers except revolutionaries
are correct in someway or other, Wotever. Hopefully results
will be out in 3days so guys ALL THE BEST .

But this year it can be some where around 70.

I am wrote group 1 prelims. my opinion is cut off marks
between 65 to 70. becuase current affairs & mental ability
topics are not easy.

iam not agree about rama rao post. he told appeared
candidates 2,00,000 but service commission told 70% so
appeared 1,50,000 and also he told 9000 selected. 197 posts
1 : 50 ratio 10,000 selected. selected only merit basis not
in applying posts so cut off not above 85

wats the difernce bet group1 and group2 exams.....? i completed my msc computer technology... wat kind of exams i can write.....? in grroup1 itself soooo many exams are there huh.....? when will be the next TNPSC EXAMS ON 2010....?
