are all Quality Assurance(QA) activities

Software Testing is Quality Control(QC) activities

is nothing but a verification)
QC is a product oriented it is for detecting the defects (it
is nothing but a validation)

it controls and monitors improving the process.

Quality Control: Is systematic approach of controlling the
changes and implementing the changes that are needed in the
software development
