1. Float Charger - This unit will supply only the trickle
charge to the battery and will cater to other continuous
load requirement of DC.
2. Boost Charger - This unit will bost charge the battery
from its exhausted condition.
3. FCBC - Float cum boost charger. This consists of a
single unit which takes care of both the requirements. The
charger is rated for the higher of the two.
From the constructional technology point of view, battery
chargers can be thyristor based or SMPS based.

1) CC Charger ( Constant Current)
2)CV Charger ( Constant Voltage)
3)CC/CV Charger
CC Charger Current constant, and voltage will varie
CV Charge Voltage constant, and current will varie
For better battery life CC/CV charer preferable.

where we use 1 phase & 3 phase supply ?what is major advantage using 3 phase over than single phase ?
