xy-x+2y = 6 equation is shifted to form equation xy=c what is c?..

Answer / srikanth bhandary

answer for this question
xy-x+2y=6-----(1)
xy=c----------(2)
add -2 on both LHS AND RHS to the equation
xy-x+2y-2=6-2
xy+2y-x-2=4
y(x+2)-1(x+2)=4
(y-1)=4
(x+2)=4
y=4+1=5
x=4-2=2
put the value of x and y in equation 1
xy=c
5*2=10
c=10

xy-x+2y = 6 equation is shifted to form equation xy=c what is c?..

Answer / etty

xy-x+2y = 6

y(x-x)+2y = 6
y+2y = 6
3y=6
y=2

now place the value of y in the same equation

xy-x+2y = 6
x*2-x+2*2 = 6
2x-x+4 = 6
x+4 = 6
x = 6-4
x = 2

so xy=c
2*2=c
c=4 and 4 is the ans
