Sum of two consecutive nos is 55, larger one is?..

Given that the sum of two consecutive numbers is 55
Let the numbers be x and x+1
x+(x+1)=55
therefore x=27 and the largest number is 28
therefore the answer is 28

But x+1 is the largest number compared to x.So answer is 27+1=28
