application of regression testing is not only applied for
changees/ rectification of bugs but also usefull in
product testing where version of products comes in to
picture. for ex:yahoo mail inthat comaponet Compose/check
mail allthough version of yahoo mail may change but
fuctionality of chekmail/compose mail keeps so her is the
regression testing comes into picture so here inthis aprt u
can automate the test.

This answer is based on the projects produced in the resume
and it lots depend whether it required automation. It also
depends on the size of the team and as well as other factors.
Generally regression testing is done whenever it is
confirmed once by testing the entire functionality manually
and treated application is stable. My regression test effort
mainly concentrates on bugs raised earlier.

I have tested ecommerce site, but when i search for any product Or access any page, some time i found it missed the values from my URL..EXAMPLE : we take this URL "http://www.allinterview.com/forms/questionform.php" This is the actual URL & it is ok but when i test it displays like "http://www.allinterview.com//questionform.php" NOTE : In above URL "forums" is missing.. hey showed me a Web page containing 3 text boxes labeled as Name, D.O.B & Blood Group.It also have 3 Buttons as OK, CANCEL,Reset. They told me that 1) when you click on OK it'll route you to the next page and save the data in the database. 2) When you click on CANCEL it'll route you to the previous page. 3) When you click on Reset it'll clears all the entries made by you. Now they asked me to write Test cases to test the functionality of that web page & asked me to write 1 critical test case after which they will give final go ahead to test the rest of the application... I wasn't able to write the critical test case. Plz answer.
