where we find bp.conf file? which path?..

Answer / ravinder singh

#cd /usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf
-->With the following u can determine that after making
change in the bp.conf file, is the demons required to
restart or not.

1) bpbrm, bptm, bpdm are only called at the complition of
backup,duplication,restore or other operation.And the
changed made in file will take effect when the new job will
be started. It will not effect the running job.And
netbackup restart is not required.

2) BPCD,TAR,BPBKAR are only called at the complition of
backup or restore. So making change in these dont require
Netbackup to get restart. And the changed made in file will
take effect when the new job will be started. It will not
effect the running job.

3) Other media manager demons such as ltid, vmd, avrd and
other robotic demons on media server read from
#cd /usr/openv/volmgr/vm.conf file, and Netbackup strictly
required to restart after making change to these demons.

Note:-
Use the following command to tell bprd to reread it's
configuration, this will reread the bp.conf file:
# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bprdreq -rereadconfig
