sensex means top 30 corporates which are listed in BSE and nifty is the index of all listed corporates(50) as whole. Both are related to the stock trading market.

1.SENSEX is indicator of BSE and NIFTY is indicator ofNSE. 2.BSE is index of stock market.NSE do the same work. 3.bse situated in bombay and nse situated in delhi. 4.BSE consist 30 companies and NSE consist top50companies which comes from24 differant sector. 5.sensex is caluleted by "free-flot maeket capitlisation method". 6.what is free-flot?shares which comes for open trading market means excluding the shares which are holded by directors,promoters etc. 6.formula for calculating SENSEX-number of shares(which are open for open trading0 multiples by share per price.

senxex is a short term for "SENSETIVE INDEX" and was launched in 1986.It is used for BOMBAY STOCK EXCHANGE.It consists 30 companies on the basis of their MCAP.,VOL,etc.On other hand,NSE stands for" NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE"and was launched in1993.It is used for"NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE".It consists 50 commpanies.

Nifty is situated in DELHI & index of NSE
SENSEX is calculated taking in to consideration stock price
of 30 different BSE listed companies. where for NIFTY 50
different NSE listed conpanies.

Well Sensex stands for Sensitive Index....and NIFTY for
National First Fifty....Sensex is the index of BSE in which
the 30 largest active stocks are registered which are
registered in BOMBAY STOCK EXCHANGE (BSE) while in case of
NIFTY it is the index of NSE in which the top 50 active
stocks are registered
