In first version of the build i found a bug . I report it
to my developers with all the procedures and that was
accepted by the developers and the bug was in open state.
In the next version of the build the bug was not able to
reporduce it .Then wat will be the status of that bug

Hi ,
The status should be Fixed.because..they are talking
about the next version that means that there are some
chanes in the code that may be fixing of old bugs or adding
the new funtionality..

may be the bug got fixed because of another bug fixing.It
happens often.In that case a tester can retest in new build
and close the bug if it works fine else reopen the bug.

defect status should be REJECTED. Beacause there is no code change for that perticular raised defect.

a) In the 1st version that bug is closed
b) 100% bug was closed because it is the new version.
c) All bug are closed and some new futures add after
release the new version
d) So now bug states was closed.
e) If not that it not new version.

u can add a comment stating "may be fixed thru impact",if u
are sure that the developer has not done any fixes.
