U r wrong harikumar,
Tester can never say these many test cases i can write per
day. How can u tell this?
It all depends on Complexity & Size of the application and
it also depends on Tester understanding.

Complex test cases 4-7 per day
Medium test cases 10-15 per day
Normal test cases 20-30 per day

@ PoornaChandra....We agree it all depends on Complexity of
the functionality and tester understanding, But you cannot
say that the Question is stupid. You could have just
replied as 'the question has no specific answer'

This Questation is exactly correct,now we r facing the interview as a Exp, the interviewer asked like this.In that questation my ans is maximum we can write 30 testcases per a day ,if it is normal functionality,if it is complex we can write 4 to 7.
If the ans is wrong please let me know.

I agree with you Mohan, because this is a stupid question.
This is purly based on complexity of the functionality, so
we can not say numberic number even if we try tto say the
number that is wrong as well.
we can not say number of test cases which we can excute per
day becauese it is always depends of the day deadline and
based on client time management.

@AnupSharma Then, you must be writing a lot of simple test(one liners , two liners) , you can't guarantee correctness of each test case. This also means you are just writing test cases and what about the execution time?

Hi All, I am new in testing field. I got an interview and the question was asked- What would be your high level test case on the following scenario. There are 2 fields one is SCORE and other is GRADE and there is a go button. Scenario is If score is 90- 100 then grade should be A, if Score is 80-90 then B, if 70- 80 then C Else F. So I told that - I will check Boundary values by giving max +1 and min-1 values. I will check the functionality is working as per the requirement or not. I will include + and - testing. But seems like my answer was not correct, obviously because I don't have much experience. So plz provide me the best answer of this Q ? Thanks in advance. Preeti
