only one tester & one developer ,the product is released to be today night.if you found a criti..

Answer / anirudh

Its totally depends on the Developer & Tester how to go
through that problem.
Depending on the application it that bug effects the whole
application than its not the right time to release the
product, but if the bug affects any particular module so
remove that module at that instant and the developer and
tester can do that.
And as per sujata its not necessary to report that bug in
BTT because while releasing the product we cant show the
Client any Bug. Developer can fix that bug at that instant

In this case I'll not release the product. if i supposed to
do so by management pressure or mutual consent then i'll
prefer this critaical bug to be mentioned in <Known issue
list>.

Answer / bibhu

Well it completly depends upon the impact of the bug. if
the bug is very critical then its not wise to release.. if
the bug affects only one-two modules then perhaps we can
put it in the release notes as a open issues. then later it
will go in the next release.

The Tester should raise the defect. If the bug is show
stopper, the developers should fix and we should retest and
release should be sent for Production.

Answer / sujata

Testers duty is find bugs and report them to bug tracking
tool(BTT).
So as soon as tester find a critical bug he/she has to
report it to BTT.
