What is Speculative Execution in Apache Spark?
Answer / Manish Raj Singh
"Speculative Execution": A technique used by Spark to improve the performance and resilience of its applications. When speculative execution is enabled, Spark executes multiple copies of the same task or stage on different workers concurrently, with the expectation that one or more of them may fail. The idea is that if a task completes successfully on one worker, the result can be sent to the driver program immediately, providing faster response times."
