What is Atomic weight?..

Answer / jyotsana gunjiyal

Atomic weight:-It is a relative atomic mass. The atomic weight of an element is the ratio of mass of an atom of that element and the mass of an atom element taken as a standard. The standard now-days adopted is C12, the isotope of carbon the atomic mass of which is taken to be exactly 12. Thus atomic weight of an atom is its weight relative to that of a standard atom
