What is NameNode and DataNode in HDFS?
Answer / Sanjay Kumar Kanaojia
NameNode is the central management node of an HDFS cluster that manages the file system namespace, regulates access to files, and maintains the metadata for all the data blocks in the cluster. DataNodes store the actual data blocks and send heartbeats to the NameNode to indicate their availability.
