Dalton put forward a hypothesis which can be stated as given
bellow:-

(a)Matter is made up of a small individual particles known
as atoms which retain their individual in all chemical
transformations

(b)Atoms of same element resemble one another in all respects.

(c)Different elements possesses atom of different weights
and different properties

(d)Compound atoms are formed by combination of different
elements in fixed ration

(e)Atoms are indestructible

single whole number ratios
