In my point of view, Alpha and Beta tests comes under User
acceptance test. We will conduct these two system being
released.
we are giving oppurtunity to customer to check all
functiolities covered or not.
Alpha testing conducting for software application by real
customer at development site.
Beta testing conducting for software product by model
customer at customer site.

Hi,
Alpha Test:- When the software is at its completion then
before release testing alpha testing is bein done by the
client with the developer.
Beta Test:- After releasing the software beta testing is
being done by the end user,but developer is not present there.

after completion of the system testing by the testing team
the users from client company will perform user acceptance
test and depending upon the type of the software they
perform alpha & beta testing.
alpha: alpha testing is conducted for an application by a
specific person in virtual environment.
beta: beta testing is conducted for a product by customer
like people in real time environment
