Give a little amount of drink from each bottle with a time gap of some minutes and notice the time.
Start calculating time if death starts, so that the poisoned bottle can be found.
i.e.,
At 1st min the mouse tastes 1st bottle, if it is poisoned then it dies at 10 hr 1 min.
After 15 mins the mouse tastes 2nd bottle, if it is poisoned then it dies at 10 hr 15 min
After 30 minutes the mouse tastes 3rd bottle, if it is poisoned then it dies at 10 hr 30 min
Proceeding like this,
After 4 hrs 30 mins the mouse tastes 19th bottle, if it is poisoned then it dies at 14 hrs 30 min
If the mouse is still alive after 14 hrs 30 min, then the poison will be in the 20th bottle.
Hence the answer is 1.

if the time of death is approximated in hours..........3 mice will be enough to get deducted in 16 hrs
if the time of death is approximated in minutes.......1 mice will be enough to get deducted in 10 hrs 20 minutes
if the time of death is approximated in seconds......1 mice will be enough to get deducted in 10 hrs 00 minutes 20 seconds
if the time of death is approximated in milliseconds..1 mice will be enough to get deducted in 10 hrs 00 minutes 00 seconds 20 milliseconds
if the time of death is approximated in microsecond which is not possible by medical criteria that the person will die accurately when the time 10 hrs 00 minutes 00 seconds 00 milliseconds and 20 microseconds elapses. even though if theoritically possible wil also use 1 mice to get deducted.
Else if anyone is willing to say hypothetical question could also be the answer......

Substitute digits for the letters to make the following addition problem true. W H O S E T E E T H A R E + A S ------------------- S W O R D S Note that the leftmost letter can't be zero in any word. Also, there must be a one-to-one mapping between digits and letters. e.g. if you substitute 3 for the letter H, no other letter can be 3 and all other H in the puzzle must be 3.
The son of a rich bullion merchant left home on the death of his father. All he had with him was a gold chain that consisted of 138 links. He rented a place in the city center with a shop at the lower level and an apartment at the upper level. He was required to pay every week one link of the gold chain as rent for the place. The landlady told him that she wanted one link of the gold chain at the end of one week, two gold links at the end of two weeks, three gold links at the end of three weeks and so on. The son realized that he had to cut the links of the gold chain to pay the weekly rent. If the son wished to rent the place for 138 weeks, what would be the minimum number of links he would need to cut?
There are 10 statements written on a piece of paper: 1. At least one of statements 9 and 10 is true. 2. This either is the first true or the first false statement. 3. There are three consecutive statements, which are false. 4. The difference between the numbers of the last true and the first true statement divides the number, that is to be found. 5. The sum of the numbers of the true statements is the number, that is to be found. 6. This is not the last true statement. 7. The number of each true statement divides the number, that is to be found. 8. The number that is to be found is the percentage of true statements. 9. The number of divisors of the number, that is to be found, (apart from 1 and itself) is greater than the sum of the numbers of the true statements. 10. There are no three consecutive true statements. Find the minimal possible number?
