QC or quality control is set of activities performed on product to measure that how close the product is to the predetermined criteria set by the organization and defined by end customer. QC is sub-part of QA and not vise-versa.

QA or Quality Assurance are set of activities which are performed on all parts of the organization both upstream (Customer end) and downstream (Supplier end) to provide confidence that all requirements have been met as per already agreed and approved procedures within the organization ambit .
