The term M20 in Civil Engineering is nothing but the Grade of Concrete. In this 'M' defines Mix and '20' is compressive strangth of concrete after 28 days curing.

M20 also in Civil Engineering refers to the size of bolts...
M20 = 20mm diameter bolt
e.g.
M16 = 16mm diameter bolt... et. al.
