Smoke testing - testing of a new build to verify that mail critical functionality works fine.
Sanity testing - testing of a new build to verify that new functionality works fine and/or some critical bugs have been fixed.
Both testings are not detailed. Usually smoke testing is the first and sanity t - next. Or sometimes they can be done simultaneously
