in friction bearing there is direct contact between inner
race and out race.there is sliding movement in this
bearings. in antifriction bearings there are balls or
rollers are present inbetween inner and outer race, so
there is negligible friction between inner and outer race.

friction bearing does not provide rolling friction as in caase of ball bearings..it is like bush bearing
